Hike Summary: | Short day hike in late August, weather was warm, warmer in the sun. Hike began in the woods off of the parking area down through old growth forest. At the junction for Goat Rocks head right up some elevation. Passing several out crops and gaining a bit more elevation to a grassy ridge top area adjacent to Goat Rock. The rocks are slick, much caution is advised while on them. Great views of the surrounding terrain, haze or smog prevented any distant view of the ocean if possible. Bring water or treat in the backcountry. |
