Hike Summary: | NOT FOR BEGINNERS OR FIRST TIME HIKERS!!! Get a great morning workout on this 6.7 mile hike. This reverse (hill at the end) hike starts at the top of Laguna Canyon, proceeds down into the canyon, meanders along a sleepy trail (albeit with lots of mountain bikes :), through a shaded wood area next to a gentle stream, then finishes with a climb up Mathis Canyon Trail. The hike is a beginning one until we hit Mathis, then it becomes an intermediate hike. We will not race, but go at a moderate pace, nor will we go to Dripping Cave. If you know the trail, you may charge ahead if you'd like. There will be a sweep and we will stop at least once to regroup. If you have been hiking hills, Mathis will be just another one you'll conquer. |
