| Biography: | I am an avid outdoorsman, hunter, hiker, etc. I love being challenged. I find hiking, mountain biking, etc, to be great alternatives to a treadmill or a stationary bike. I've been hiking since I was a child, and my parent's and my brother and I would hike Kennesaw Mountain, Stone Mountain, and various other spots in Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina, as well as places in Alabama. |
| My Best Hike: | Appalachain Trail from Clingman's Dome to Fontana Dam |
| Best Hike Description: | 3 day backpacking trip from Clingman's dome (6627 ft) to Fontanta Dam, hugging the Tennessee/North Carolina border. There were gorgeous views, steep ascents and descents, and some of the brightest stars I've ever seen in my life. |
| My Worst Hike: | I haven't had a bad hike yet. |
| A Memorable Trail Moment: | On day 3 of the AT backpacking trip, I crossed a fallen log that formed a bridge 20 ft above the rock filled creek below. I'm not all that fond of heights, but I managed to make it across in one piece. It was very dangerous, but looking back, a great bit of adrenaline. |

| Trails That I Want To Hike: | Appalachian Approach Trail from Amicalola Falls to Springer Mountain (I've done this 8.4 miles several tiimes. Pickett's Mill Trail, Kolb Farm Trail, Cheetham Hill Trail...any of the Kennesaw Mt trails are excellent. I'm a history buff, so these are very interesting to me. Allatoona Pass, Pine Log Trail, Cumberland Trail, etc. I also want to do the 75 miles of the AT that run through Georgia. |
