My Best Hike: AT
Best Hike Description: This thru-hike ended up taking me 3 summers. The first year I made 900 miles but a sewing needle was lodged in my foot and the pain was too intense. Second year I was going strong after 1000 miles and just headed into the Whites when I passed out and was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. I was diagnosed with West Nile Fever and Lyme disease. Finally the summer of the third year I completed those last 300 miles to complete my journey. I have hike a number of long trails but the AT I believe will always be my favorite.
