A bit of a loner.I, usually hike alone, but sometimes hike with a friend or two. Mostly day hikes, 6-12 mile range ,in the Red River Gorge in Kentucky or Big South Fork in Tennesse. Two Great areas with a lot to offer. Beautiful river gorges...waterfalls, rockhouses,overlooks,caves,arches...but you know all this already. |
My Best Hike: | Honey Creek Loop is a keeper. Hiddden Passage loop is fine as well. |
Best Hike Description: | Lions, Tigers and Bears...Oh My!! Maybe add a waterfall, overlook, natural arch or two and you got yourself a darn hike. |
My Worst Hike: | It's never bad. Some are just better, best or Great! |
Worst Hike Description: | Just a walk in the woods. I need to be entertained beyond just one step after anothere. Ya know what I mean? |
A Memorable Trail Moment: | Finally saw a black bear in the Big South Fork on a hike to Buffalo Arch in July of this year. It took 6 years to see one. There are only 50 or so in that 120'000 acre wilderness. I feel blessed. |
Dumbest Trail Move: | I hope I don't have any. If I do..I'm not smart enough to know and that's either good or very bad??? |
