Biography: | Hello, I just finished working on trail descriptions and some maps for mountains in downeast Maine. These trails are outside of Acadia National PArk, and it is hard to find information anywhere else about these trails. I hike these trails quite frequently. http://mainelakecabin.tripod.com/hiking.html I also have a rustic cabin that is for rent. This log cabin sits beside a lake. To reach the cabin, you walk about 10 minutes through the woods. There are no neighbors nearby. If you really enjoy spending time in the woods and next to the water, this is a great place. I also have a rustic cabin for rent. see http://mainelakecabin.tripod.com Christian |
My Best Hike: | Aonach Mor Deargh |
Best Hike Description: | Knife edge like trail opposite from Glen Coe in Scotland. When we reached the first peak, a huge sheep lept from the ridge down a steep drop. The rain made the hike dangerous and memorable. Scotland mountains are awesome. |
My Worst Hike: | The Ring of Fools |
Worst Hike Description: | We were supposed to hike the Ring of Steale in Scotland. But the weather was bad and we were hiking in whiteout conditions due to the fog. So, we got lost and made a small loop that we call the Ring of Fools. It was awesome. |
A Memorable Trail Moment: | Finishing a 50 mile section of the Appalacian trail in Maine, raising my backpack in the air, and screamling like a madman. |
Dumbest Trail Move: | Football |
Trails That I Want To Hike: | 100 mile wilderness |
