| Hike Summary: | Vickery Creek Falls is one of Roswell's most-visited and photographed locations and is located at the Vickery Creek Dam which was built in the 1800's to power the now defunct Roswell Mill. To reach the falls, park at the Roswell Mill trailhead and hike upstream to the old Mill site. The entire trail in this section is only 0.6 miles and you reach the dam after only a few tenths of a mile. If you want to extend your hike in this area, you can explore the covered bridge closer to the trailhead and the trail system on the other side of the river. There are loop options that take you north to Oxbo Road, northeast to Grimes Bridge Road, and southeast to Riverside Road and the Chattahoochee River. If you are looking for a shorter hike this 1.2 mile hike takes you up Vickery Creek and past the dam, then back to the covered bridge and Roswell Mill trailhead. It's an easy and historic hike that is suitable for all ages. |
