Hike Summary: | First time to Oregon and everyone I talked to said this was a "Must See" when visiting Oregon. The weather was gorgeous, 75 degrees on August 14, 2013. The waterfall you initially see is breathtaking and the hike starting at the Multnomah Falls Lodge to the top is paved and pretty smooth. Once you are at the top, you can look over the Columbia River and see into the state of Washington. From the top there are a number of trails you can take that you can see on this map: http://friendsofmultnomahfalls.org/maps.html We did the loop clockwise that was approximately 6 miles. It was a dirt path from the top of the falls and around the mountain. It went past a number of other waterfalls and had beautiful scenery. |
