Directions: | From Seattle, take the Bainbridge Island ferry. Continue up Hwy 305 to Hwy 3, turn right (north). Left left onto 104 (Hood Canal bridge) then left left (south) on Hwy 101. Continue south for about 23 miles till you reach Hamma-Hamma Road then turn right. The trailhead is approximately 8 miles down the road. Allow About 2 1/2 hours each way. |

Hike Summary: | The lower part of this trail is located just outside of the Olympic National Park (inside the National Forest). Clocking in at 3.1 miles to the lake (campsites), this trail with grades of 10% - 15% makes this trail good for beginners looking to experience hiking, first hand. The end of the trail takes you to Lena Lake. The views are breathtaking and very suitable for a trail ending picnic. |
