Hike Summary: | This hike starts at the bridge next to the track at Life University and follows a creek up stream to a 19th century village with log cabins and an inactive mill with a water wheel. Follow the trail below the bridge and start by hiking the short trail along the creek until you come to the old village. From here, you continue through the campus and along the sidewalk next to Barclay Circle until you reach Wildwood Park on the left. At Wildwood Park, hike about 0.6 miles of the loop trail until you reach an exercise stop with a pull-up bar and a fence prohibiting dogs from taking a spur trail. This trail leads back to Life University and to the track area where you started. It's a nice way to get a mix of urban woods hiking and explore the University campus at the same time. |
