Hike Summary: Burr Oak Woods is an urban oasis! A great place to go spend some time outdoors. The trails are well maintained. The surface is gravel/crushed rock. A little hard on the feet after a while but not bad at all. Urban environment. You will see a lot of people here, but the trails are fabulously maintained, and the scenery is pretty for being so close to the city. Quick drive and you're in a natural setting. <b>Bethany Falls Trailhead</b><br> Typical of the type of trail
<b>Rock Formations</b><br> The Bethany Falls Trail is the prettiest, but seems to be used the least (but it still sees a lot of traffic). The highlight of this trail is by far the rock formations
<b>Hickory Grove</b><br> This is a connector trail and is the only one where jogging is allowed so it is by far the most used and isn't necessarily worth all the traffic, but it connects two other trails to combine a decent hike
<b>Prairie Connector</b><br> I doubt this trail is used very much, but I personally think it is the best trail here. Lots of wildlife, berries growing wild, birds, hundreds of rabbits, and it is by far the most secluded. It is merely a mowed path, however.
