I grew up in Mississippi after my dad retired from the Navy and settled down where he'd been born and raised. We had plenty of land and farmed vegetables and livestock. I was a Boy Scout and backpacked frequently with the troop. Otherwise I spent as much time in the woods and fields as possible. I'm a recent transplant to Georgia, but have not found the time to avail myself of all the readily available trails ... until now.
