I grew up in the country and I've always enjoyed being out in the woods. I started hiking about two or three years ago and backpacking last year. So far I've only gone to places in Georgia, but I hope to be doing this for a long time. Hopefully I'll get to see many places all over the country eventually. I like to go on trips when it's pretty cold, due to the bugs and humidity that we have around here. All of my trips so far have been solo outings, but I hope to get my wife coming with me pretty soon. I'm currently attending a camping and backpacking class at my church. I've met a lot of nice people there and plan to go on some trips with them this spring.
