Went to Linville Gorge for the first time a few weeks ago. It was one trashed hiking area. What a shame – the river is beautiful, but the trail and particularly the campsites are being loved to death. Curious if anyone else had this same experience there. I know there are other trails and trailheads that hopefully see a lot less abuse.
