Trip Report: Got up early, melted some snow, had a quick breakfast and coffee, and before no time, we were packed and on the trail. With only two miles to go, we were out of the woods in a flash, and on the road. With it being so early, I suggested we make a quick trip over to the Dolly Sods Wilderness for a quick day hike with the snowshoes, but the others were reluctant, so in the end we wandered home. At that moment, I knew I would be back.
<b>Backpacks</b><br> Packed up and ready to hike out on our second day. Don't let the size of Metro's pack fool you. Half of it is filled with a down coat that takes up more room than the comforter on my king size bed.
<b>Snowshoes</b><br> Snowshoes, AKA winter backcountry transportation.
<b>Deep Snow</b><br> Metro tightens up the straps.
<b>Packless in the Mountains</b><br> No this isn't a steep downhill. BC shot this picture with his camera turned at an angle.
<b>BC</b><br> Guys, come here. Is that the abominable snowman at the top of that hill?

Wow..i went on this hike, IT WAS GREAT. I had so much fun and would love to do it again. I think every one that went learned something new, and learned how to appreciate nature in all ways..
