Trip Report: |
This short little hike surprised us by getting us breathing hard, but that was mostly due to the altitude -- the trail starts at about 8300 feet elevation. It was easy, of course, going downhill, a little less so going over the second ridge. Once out on Warner Point, we had a clear view of the canyon and also of the approaching rainstorm. We tried to hustle back the way we had come, but we did not beat the rain. Fortunately, it started as a light shower, and did not intensify until after we were back to the car. |
