Trip Report: Wild Turkey cooked up some eggs, bacon and toast this morning, then we loaded the kids up in three separate cars and drove to Deep Creek in the Smokies for a loop hike around Juney Whank Falls. It was only a 0.7 mile roundtrip, but we took our time and The Camel and Songbird had to be creative since they were using a baby jogger instead of a kid backpack. There were a surprising number of people on the trail today, and most of them were with children. Songbird’s son was not feeling well, and she decided to head back to Charlotte this afternoon to get him some medical attention. So The Camel and I lead the way while The Operator, Pixie, and Wild Turkey did another hike to some more waterfalls.
