Hike Summary:	This is an absolutely gorgeous hike up Lavender Mountain to Martha Berry's House o' Dreams. The dirt road that takes you there is closed almost 100% of the year to motorized vehicles, except by appointment. The hike is up hill all of the way. You will come to an intersection where you have the option to turn left, but keep going straight (right) to get to the House o' Dreams. About half way up, you will come to a gate. The grade gets quite a bit steeper here, so pace yourself the rest of the way. When you get to the top, there are absolutely gorgeous views of the valley below and you can walk around the gardens and house. There is a fountain and coi pond. Take a picnic and have it at the house. The trek down is very easy and quick.
