| Hike Summary: | at the Wolf Gap Campground, walk on the dirt road until you see the sign for the Mill Mountain Trail toward Big Schloss. Take this orange-blazed trail up a series of relatively steep switchbacks until you reach the ridge, where the trail evens out. You should reach the white-blazed spur trail for Big Schloss about 2 miles from the trail-head, at which point, you leave the Mill Mountain Trail to endure the climb up to Big Schloss, a series of rock formations with wide views of the countryside. You retrace your steps to return to the trailhead. |
