Directions:	From SH-121 North, take the Bass Pro Drive exit and turn left . Head west to a stoplight, then drive ahead to the Northwest Highway (after two lights) and turn left again heading south. Drive for approximately a half mile and turn right to the west at Fairway Drive. Drive across the Grapevine Lake dam and then over the spillway. After a quarter mile you will see the Concourse Golf course on the right, and the entrance to Rockledge Park on the left. Turn left into Rockledge park, then turn right at the first fork in the road. Drive all the way past the restroom facilities (which are on your right) to the edge of the lake directly in front of the trailhead.

Hike Summary:	Rockledge Park is located on Fairway Drive in Grapevine, on the North side of Grapevine Lake. The park is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility and it is popular with both mountain bikers and hikers due to the nine mile Northshore Trail. The trail winds along the banks of Grapevine Lake with excellent views at various points along the route. It is near the DFW airport, so don't be surprised to see some large 767's passing overhead, and there are often bass fisherman tucked in the coves along the path. However, the trail wanders in/out of a heavily wooded forest that hugs the water, so it is an enjoyable and somewhat wild experience only a short distance from a major metropolitan area.
