Hi! My girlfriend and I are planning to move out of state (~1700 miles away).
I am considering using a truck to tow my personal coupe.
However, I have never driven anything larger than a sedan. And I have certainly never towed a car.
For those with experience, do you have any tips?

The idea is ok, but only if you are really sure that you can handle it. A sedan and a tractor with a trailer are completely different experiences. Especially over long distances. I think it’s better to find out how much to tow a car 500 miles and hire a pro. To understand the prices, everything depends on the route, type of car and urgency, but at least you do not risk your car and nerves. They have a convenient comparison of prices and conditions, you can choose for yourself.

I understand that there are more risks than it seems. As they say, a sedan is not a truck with a trailer, especially for so many miles. It’s better to pay once than to repair the suspension or something worse later.
