I almost burned myself yesterday when I got in my car after work, the seats got very hot, as did the handles. I immediately turned on the ventilation to air out the cabin a bit, but I’m afraid to imagine what will happen in the summer. How do you protect your car from the sun?

Are there any shady spots in the parking lot? You could try using special reflective pads that attach to the windshield. Until I bought regular sun visors at T1A Auto http://www.t1aauto.com this was the only way I could protect myself. I’m lucky the car is beige and not black; otherwise, I shudder to think what the temperature in the cabin would be if it were in the sun all day. A friend of mine once got heat stroke after getting in a car like that. Luckily, his wife was nearby and able to administer first aid and get them home. I hope this doesn’t happen to you.
