I have a reflective journal due next week, but I have no idea where to start. My professor mentioned focusing on critical incidents during clinical practice. How do I even choose a good incident to write about?

I’ve been there, too! A critical incident could be anything that made you stop and think during your clinical practice. I remember using this service, Nursing Paper, where they even have a section for https://www.nursingpaper.com/our-services/nursing-reflective-journal/ Their approach helped me figure out how to structure my journal around what I learned during practice. Think about moments where you felt challenged or learned something new. Have you thought about an incident you’d like to explore?

Yes, I’ll probably write about an incident where I had to manage a patient’s unexpected reaction to medication. Thanks for the link and tips!
