I am currently in the research process of writing a fictional book and am considering using the Chilkoot Trail as the setting. Would someone be able to help me answer the following questions?: 1. Is it easy to “get lost” and if so, are there specific conditions or circumstances that would make getting lost more of a possibility?
2. What equipment is necessary for this hike? Specifically equipment required for safety.
3. Is there cell phone service on the trail anywhere?
4. How remote is the surrounding area?
