Biography: I've lived in New England my entire life. I love the out doors and everything that it has to offer. I spent most of my time as a child exploring the woods that I lived near. When I met my wife we really took to exploring and hiking. We have traveled most of NW CT and have trail-blazed so many locations I couldn't even begin to know where to start. We both have a healthy appetite for the out doors, so much so we have just join a volunteer organization to establish new trials in our town. My wife and I have almost 4000 miles of hiking under our belts. We hiked a portion of the Kalalau Trial in Hawaii. We would have done the whole thing but it was the last day and its a two day hike. We also have hiked all over CT, NY, MA, the white mountain in new Hampshire, and we also hiked in the German and Austrian Alps (mostly in the low hills though we did take the cog rail way to the top.
My Best Hike: Mount Riga
Best Hike Description: This mountain is amazing. Its a steep hike but the reward of the summit is so very much worth it. The trail also brings you into Bear Mountain and another after that. You can also access the AT here.
My Worst Hike: Bald Mountain
Worst Hike Description: Don't do this one unless you feel like swinging a machete the whole time.
A Memorable Trail Moment: While backpacking Mohawk Mountain last year I walked to about ten feet away from a deer. We didnt even know each other were there until we made eye contact. Awesome. My wife and I also had a Bobcat run right infront of our car near Bish Bash Falls.
Dumbest Trail Move: Canned Food. What is the point of having all that extra weight and what if you forget the can opener.... what then.
Trails That I Want To Hike: Almost any Trails in New England. You really cant got wrong.
