From either direction, take Exit 14 (GA-20) and travel east on GA-20. Travel 10 miles to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and turn left. Follow Peachtree Industrial for 5 miles and turn left onto Lanier Islands Parkway. Follow Lanier Islands Parkway approximately three miles and it will dead end into the gates of Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

Hike Summary: Lake Lanier Island Resort is a 1,500-acre resort located on Lake Sidney Rainer and that is enjoyed by families, couples, wedding parties, corporate groups, and even outdoor adventurers. The complex has villas, rooms, lake houses, and lots of amenities that cater to those who enjoy being outside.

There are nine hiking and walking trails at Lake Lanier Island - most of which are 1-2 miles long. This hike on the Legacy Lite trail starts at the tennis courts near Lake Lanier Lodge and follows a loop around the building for 1.4 miles. The trail traverses gentle rolling hills with views of the lake.

If you want a slightly longer workout, The Legacy Limits trail starts at the same location and is an outer loop that covers 1.6 miles. It includes a hike to the tip of the island with with 270 degree views of the lake.
