Hike Summary: Starting at the Pinhoti Trail head, the Pinhoti trail is very interesting and unique. At the trail head, you can see footprints from various animals imprinted in the tiles, as well as leaf impressions from trees. The trail winds up through the mountains and eventually runs into Georgia and connects to the Appalachian trail. There are many streams along the trail, and there are many available sites for primitive, backpacking- camping. There are no set campsites, but it's easy to fine a place to stay the night, and there are many sites with fire rings. You can stray from the trail and hit McDill Point, with a beautiful view.
