Directions: Take CA-41 N out of Fresno for 61 miles to the south entrance of Yosemite National Park. You can turn right on Mariposa Grove Road (closed in winter) and try your luck in the small parking lot, but you are likely better off finding an alternate parking area within the park and taking the shuttle.

Hike Summary: This hike consists of an easy stroll along the main trail up to the Grizzly Giant and California Tunnel Tree and back, passing the Fallen Monarch and the Bachelor and Three Graces along the way. The Mariposa Grove contains about 500 mature giant sequoias, and this brochure on the park’s website does a wonderful job highlighting the more popular ones:
