Hey, I am planning on being down in the Kentucky area in a couple of weeks and would like to get in a weekend of backpacking while I am down there. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions of some good spots. Looking for 25-40 mile loop (no transportation back to the car), elevation, scenic (of course) and low populations. Any help would be appreciated. Have a great day, Kara

How about Black Mtn, Ky's highest point?

Here's a link and be sure to download the waiver for hikers as it's required to be on your person to hike this area. There are some other trails mentioned on the following site as well.

Black Mountain- 4139 ft

Be sure to be prepared for the cold and have a good plan.
