Hike Summary: Start at the bottom of the butte. You have the option to either hike up the road (which you can also drive up but watch for hikers, bikers, and long boarders) or the dirt trail. I prefer the dirt trail, I think it is easier on your ankles and feet. On the way up you will see bend and when you reach the top have an amazing 360 degree view of bend and all of the mountains that surround the beautiful city. There is places to sit up there and a bathroom and there is some parking available as well. It is an out and back to once you get up there you have a nice and easy way down. Very popular and alot of people run or jog this daily to stay in shape.
