Hike Summary: Eden Gardens State Park is a 163 acre former historic homestead of the Wesley family. Their 1897 mansion was restored and donated to the State in 1968, and the beautifully landscaped estate has an Old South vibe to it. For this reason (and the proximity to the nearby tourist destinations of Seaside and Watercolor), the Park hosts many private weddings each year.

Hiking, fishing, and canoeing are all activities that are offered here, and kids may enjoy a tour of the house, fishing from the docks, or walking through the multiple gardens on the property.

This hike on the park nature trail wanders through a thick forest, beside the bay, and near the gardens in the park. It's buggy in the summer months, so make sure you take insect repellent and plenty of water. You can access the trail from both major parking areas in the park.
