Hike Summary: Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park, located southwest of the greater Columbus, Ohio metro area, encompasses more than 7,000 acres stretching along 13 miles of the Big and Little Darby creeks. Bison have been reintroduced to the park and roam freely within two enclosed pastures. The Darby Creek Greenway Trail is a 4.7 mile flat trail that passes through prairies and woods and intersects the two bison pastures. This particular hike travels along the southern section from the Nature Center to the Cedar Ridge area and back. The section closest to the Nature Center is the one that intersects the two bison pastures.
