Hike Summary: Hocking Hills is a 2,356-acre park in southeastern Ohio, which includes numerous cliffs, caves, waterfalls and gorges. The park complex consists of six primary areas, including Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Old Man’s Cave, Conkles Hollow, Rock House, and Cantwell Cliffs.

This particular hike starts at the Ash Cave parking lot and travels north for approximately one tenth of a mile along the Ash Cave Gorge Trail before reaching the cave itself. The hike then climbs to the rim via a series of five sets of stairs (56 stairs in all), heads north-northeast along the Buckeye Trail to Cedar Falls, and then drops down to the falls via another series of seven sets of stairs (59 stairs in all). The hike then backtracks out along the same route.
